Description

Raise a paw if your pet is ready for their up-close and personal painting session!  Upload a clear reference photo of your pet in your favorite fantasy, magical, spoopy halloween, holiday, or fashion attire and I will transform it into a custom hand-painted watercolor pawtrait illustration in this Storybook style. Don't have an outfit for your fur-friend? Worry not. You can upload additional photos showing the outfit or accessories of your choice, and I will incorporate them into the illustration! After uploading the reference photos, select any add-on options below and go through check out. I will email you once your painting is shipped out.

Who is this for?

For those of you who have an entire, wonderful mini wardrobe lined up for your baby pup or cat. You know who you are (and I have to say, I am impressed). Maybe you dressed up your dog for Halloween (thank you—I appreciate all the cute photos afterwards) or maybe you're already gearing up for Christmas with a Santa hat at the ready!

It's also perfect as a surprise gift for that friend of yours who would proudly proclaim themselves as a "Dog Mom" and would love to have a unique art piece of her favorite little fur-friend on her desk. 

Timeframe

Please allow up to two weeks for custom commissions to be completed plus time for shipping from NY. While shipping times during Covid are outside of my control, I can email you a web-sized preview of the finished illustration for you to show your giftee before the physical illustration arrives in the mail. You may request the "web-sized preview" in the Notes section.

If you'd like to make a rush order, please email me at helen@oceantakeflight.com to see if I can accommodate your request before ordering. Rush fees may apply depending on how soon you would like it completed. 

What photo(s) should I upload?

A clear photo of a pet in a pose and outfit you like. I will be referencing the pose from your photo so feel free to take some creative liberty in photographing your pet in a fun pose! Just make sure that I will be able to see the details clearly. If you are unsure which photo to select, you can upload multiple photos and I will choose which photo would best translate into my storybook illustration style. 

Please note:

• These commissions are for personal use only. For commercial commissions, please email the request to helen@oceantakeflight.com 
• All commissions will be drawn in my personal storybook style and exact, photo-realistic likeness is not the goal of these paintings.
• Also, because this is painted in traditional media, there is unfortunately, no undo button for watercolor paint and so, no changes will be allowed once the painting is done. Please include all details beforehand in the Notes section.
